THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE FULL-TIME IN THE BAY AREA AND WILL WORK FROM WALNUT CREEK/LAFAYETTE, CA OFFICE FIVE DAYS PER WEEK.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the organization's pursuit of its mission and strategic objectives including but not limited to growing the organization in size and reach and overseeing and managing the building of its new facility in Lafayette.
Cancer Support Community is a strong and vibrant organization with dedicated volunteers, highly skilled staff, solid finances and philanthropic support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build upon the great foundation of current leadership and expand CSC’s outreach and services. The successful candidate will be an accomplished fundraiser and enjoy leading a team who is passionate about ensuring that anyone whose life is affected by cancer and seeks CSC’s help is able to receive it. With a current budget of $3M, the Board is looking to the next CEO to substantially grow the budget over the next few years in order to achieve the ambitious goals of CSC. Evaluating the feasibility of technology to further CSC’s services, while not losing the personal touch that is a hallmark of CSC’s care and support, will be part of the vision for the future.

LOCATION
Walnut Creek/Lafayette, CA. This position is 100% in person.
YOU ARE:
A seasoned nonprofit executive who has dedicated their career to healthcare, and preferably has experience working with cancer patients, families of patients and survivors
A skillful and determined fundraiser who is gifted at building, sustaining, and growing relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and other stakeholders
Passionate about and highly motivated by the opportunity to deliver support services to cancer patients and their families
Someone who possesses a growth mindset and embodies strategic and analytical thinking
Inclusive, warm, curious, and thoughtful
SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary range is $225,000 - $250,000 plus annual bonus

Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance – availability begins the first day following your first full month of employment
PTO to be negotiated at time of offer
Sick Time – eligibility is based on 40 annual hours
Paid holidays – 11 days which are included in the employee handbook

401K– eligibility to participate in our plan after 1,000 hours of service
